Chartwell is a specialist Sedation Clinic. We are different to an ordinary dental practice who offer sedation. We are trusted by dentists all over Hertfordshire who refer their difficult patients for dental treatment using advanced sedation techniques for really phobic patients. We also have a contract with Hertfordshire PCT specifically for the treatment of patients under sedation. We treat patients of all ages who are dental phobic and needle phobic. Our technique of ‘No Needle’ Low dose sevoflurane inhalation sedation is particularly suitable for young patients and those with extreme needle phobia, and patients who have a powerful gag reflex that can interfere with dental treatment. This advanced inhalation technique is often used in combination with I.V sedation. We accept referrals of both NHS and private patients for the full range of dental treatment under sedation.

Chartwell has a special interest in children. We have a specialist team, dedicated to the provision of conscious sedation for children requiring dental treatment.

We were the first practice in the country to receive a contract from the PCT for the provision of an anaesthetic/sedation service in 1978.

This is because of the experience of our dedicated team of Anaesthetists, Dentists, Oral surgeons, Implantologists and nurses, and our uncompromising attention to patient safety.

Chartwell Dental Clinic, located in Croxley Green Hertfordshire, was established in 1976 providing our local community with an anaesthetic service.
